Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to offer you an opportunity to apply for a mini grant to assist with funding for activities aimed at encouraging students to access higher education. Please find the application attached. In order to be eligible, middle schools, high schools and community-based organizations (CBOs) need to apply in partnership with a higher education institution; or, higher education institutions may apply in partnership with a middle school, high school or CBO. You may apply for up to $1,000. Typical grants range from $250 - $700. Allowable expenses include, but are not limited to:

  • Travel
  • Participation in college and career fairs
  • Keynote speakers
  • Meeting materials
  • Refreshments

The mission of the Access NH Initiative is to increase opportunities and pathways to assist underrepresented students in accessing higher education opportunities. We are pursuing a number of diverse strategies to increase student retention rates, improve academic success and ease transitions from K-12 to higher education.

The Access New Hampshire Initiative is a collaborative between the New Hampshire College & University Council and Campus Compact for New Hampshire. Together we:

  • Sponsor various access programs
  • Host mini-college fairs at high schools across New Hampshire
  • Develop information on financial aid and scholarship resources
  • Collaborate closely with partners including the New Hampshire Scholars Program, AmeriCorps*VISTA programs, and much more!
